Luke Alton Nichols, who was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on November 18, 1958, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 5, 2023. His parents were Charles and Carolyn (McGuire) Nichols. After his birth, the family moved to Texas where Luke grew up on Hightower St., along with his four older siblings – Charlene Nichols-Horton, Cheryl McDonell, Tom and Cindy Nichols, and Lorraine and Eddie Wellborn. During his early childhood, Luke attended East Handley Elementary school and enjoyed playing Little League Baseball. He completed his high school studies from Eastern Hills High, graduating in 1977. His first job was in AutoMotive Machine & Supply, a company that his father Charles owned. Luke proceeded to work for Lockheed Martin for a few years before undertaking a supervisor role in maintenance at Texas Wesleyan University. He eventually retired from Texas Christian University.

Luke was a family man; in 1983, he became a loving father to his daughter, Stephanie, and later in 1992, his son Seth. A dedicated Christian, Luke was not only a loving father but also an amazing grandpa, a generous brother, and a kind uncle to many. A man of diverse interests, he enjoyed playing music and was a keen hunter. In 1997, Luke made a permanent home in a house he bought in Crowley, Texas where he converted a studio into a recording place for his music. His love for music saw him collaborate with various bands and artists over the years.

Luke was preceded in death by his father Charles Nichols and his grandparents Luke and Norma McGuire, and Grant and Bessy Nichols. He left behind his children, Stephanie Stansbury and Joseph Howie, their children Cash and Graycen Stansbury, Seth and Danielle Nichols, his mother Carolyn Nichols, his older siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His larger-than-life persona will be cherished in the heart of his loved ones.

Visitation: Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Service: Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm
